This is the recipe that I have been doing for years! Click to see these cookies as Cute Mini Cookie Bites! The secret to making my cookies soft an chewy is the kind of sugar I use, and how I warm my butter. Instead of using all white sugar, I am using an equal amount of white sugar and brown sugar. Brown sugar is they key ingredient to making your cookies chewy!  When I warm my butter in the microwave, I am careful not to melt it. I bring my butter so a soft consistency so its easy to mix with my sugars. Melting my butter will make my cookie runny in the oven and they will come out thin, flat and crunchy. By keeping my butter soft, I will get a soft and fluffy cookie. Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup white sugar 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons hot water 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Directions: 1.
