The BEST Banana Bread Recipe EVER.. Swirled with Nutella!

The BEST Banana Bread Recipe EVER.. Swirled with Nutella!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my Carla in the Kitchen Blog! Today is all about banana bread. One of my favourites! I have tried countless amounts of yummy banana bread recipes as my husband is literally obsessed with bananas! He’ll eat it any way possible; on toast, in a shake, with ice cream, yogurt… Anything! When it comes to banana bread he is defiantly my number one taste tester (which he does with a smile on his face). The last couple of recipes that I have tried where very good, however, I wanted them to be more moist, soft and to have MORE Banana (husbands request). I took bits and pieces of my favourite recipes that I have tried along the way to come up with what I call the BEST Banana Bread Recipe Ever! Its very moist, soft and of course, I have added EXTRA banana to the mix! It is a super easy recipe which I am sure you will all love. I added Nutella, which you can opt out of or of course you can add other mix ins like LOTUS or Dulce De Leche. By the way, definitely make this recipe before you have guests over because trust me… your house is going to smell amazing! You’ll need: 1/2 cup butter 1 cup white sugar 2 eggs, beaten 6 ripe bananas, mushed 1 1/2 cup plus 3 tbsp cake flour (or 1 1/2 cup flour) 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup nutella 1/2 cup chocolate chips Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and crushed bananas. Combine well. Sift together flour,...

Heart Shaped Cookies

Heart Shaped Cookies! Sure, everyone can and will get a gift for their loved one on this Valentine’s Day. Every year it is more or less of the same thing. This year give your special someone a gift of sweetness that both of you will enjoy, savour and cherish! This great and easy to follow recipe you just need your good sturdy hands! Keep reading to learn how you can have some delicious heart shaped cookies in your jar and the aroma of love at home! After preparing your preferred cookie dough, (my personal favorite is a chewy chocolate chip cookie!) place it on a parchment paper. The dough should be about 2-3″ wide and 2-3″ high. Leave about 4″ empty on each end. Then, roll the dough in the form of a log. Now shape the sides of the logs in a triangular shape(this will bring out the heart shaped side of the cookies). Now with the help of a back of a knife press in the middle of the triangle to give the heart indentation in the middle. Use your skillful hands to shape the rounded tops. Now comes the hardest part! Freeze it for several hours (don’t bake or eat it!) Phew! Now waiting is done!! Now unwrap the frozen treat, cut into 3/4″ pieces, and bake. Now ENJOY the chewy and soft reward of your patience! Pack these sweet treats for your loved one for lunch and make them swoon over your baking skills! As the red color, heart is the shape of the day! Any cake large or small and cupcakes can be made in the shape...
